Struggles of the Unseen - Volume 2: Twilight

Hello again, Internet people and friends!

Every once and a while, I get the courage to share some of my writing with close friends or family, even though it creates such a feeling of overwhelming vulnerability for me.

Lately; however, I've been branching out and making effort to share with the masses. "Twilight" for me, was a subtle play and my own variation, based on the cadence of the short poem "Star Light, Star Bright", showcasing a darker tone. Here it is, below:

Twilight, in the dawn of fright.

Cast thee in darkness, consume the light.

The shadows hold no bounds.

Beware nighttime sounds.

Darkness dawns upon us, the shadow, shows no mercy.

Twilight the dawn of fright.

Grasp for the last dying light, Consume thee in anger, embrace you fate.

Let in the sadness, broil the pain.

Not man, nor beast can tame.

Twilight the dawn of fright.

Stars shine and fade, with passing night, the shadow calls your name.

Twilight the dawn of fright.

When all is dire, bare and in blight.

Cast thee away, Return the Light.

In one of the few cases, where I've shared the rough, unfinished/unrefined draft of my entire compendium; my good friend "Cryptic Metaphor" found inspiration in this particular title, to create a trance/experimental musical number, using it as lyrics for the composition (with a few, minor, artistic liberties) to fit into the song. Below you will find the full-album on youtube, and if you wish to skip directly to the song that I contributed to, you can either follow the like here: https://youtu.be/MvOlzrh7IF8?t=2103 or navigate to the embedded video below at 35:03.

Be sure to catch some of his other music as well!

Thank you again for reading, and please be sure to leave any comments below, if you so choose!

Please also let me know if you enjoy reading these short quips, or if you would like to have more back-story to accompany each weekly selection, or if I should just release all the writing in one-crack.
